An eco friendly cellophane alternative! Made from vegetable starch, these peel and self seal bags conform to the EN1342 standard. They are biodegradable and have been certified OK Bio-based, and is suitable for composting!

WHY NOT CELLOPHANE?

Although cellophane is derived from natural sources and is biodegradable and compostable, traditional cellophane production requires carbon disulphide which is toxic, and when it breaks down, it releases methane gases.

Bio film can be composted and will disintegrate in six months to CO2, water and humus, a soil nutrient, so I recommend popping these bags in a home or commercial composting system, for best results!

Shelf life on this item is up to (and over) a year, just keep dry and cool and out of direct sunlight!
