Your art is a big deal. You put time and thought into making that thing you made, and it was birthed from the ideas in your head. That’s big. It deserves to live proudly and protected on a wall or shelf for others to see and talk about for years to come.
If you want the best for your art, protecting it with a frame of some sort may be a good idea. You may have noticed that we love to curate exhibitions, and although the artwork we hang is the real deal with sex appeal, sometimes the condition of the frames are not. Of course IKEA always got your back, but if you wanna level up, you need to branch out.
When you get the chance to hang your work, take some care and if possible spend a tad more and invest in some good mounting or framing. It really makes the world of difference, and it prevents bad things from happening to the art (like screws slipping from crumbling wood, or warped/cracked glass or loose frame corners…) while it’s on display. Invest in a good, well suited frame and add that the sale price of your art.
