ARTIST OF THE MONTH
About The Art
Oil and spray paint, Mono print
My work often intuitive or automatic but draws on memory, illuminated manuscripts, mythology, art history and drawings made from life. My current work is becoming quite dystopian, often mixing together incongruous materials, colours and painting languages within one image, to create playfully dark reflections of our conflicted relationship with nature, which trouble the certainty of narrative.
